Born in Taza in 1998
He lives and works in Tétouan.
A painter and musician, Ziyad grew up in Taza until the age of 14. His burgeoning artistic passion led him and his family to the region of Tétouan, in northern Morocco, where he enrolled in the Imam El Ghazali high school in the applied arts section..
He graduated with a bachelor's degree in applied arts in 2015, then entered the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan, graduating top of his class in 2020.
In his artistic practice, Ziyad El Mansouri explores the interaction between imagination and reality, weaving a visual narrative that goes beyond traditional boundaries. Through a blend of symbolism and metaphor, he seeks to capture the essence of emotions and thoughts that are often inaccessible to the spoken word. Embracing a palette ranging from vivid to monochrome, the artist brings light and shadow into dialogue, symbolising the duality of human existence. Her works become a space where chaos finds its beauty and the abstract reveals an underlying order.
Ziyad El Mansouri was one of the talented artists exhibited by the House of Beau gallery at the 1-54 London Contemporary African Art Fair, where his work met with great success. His work is now part of prestigious collections, including the Fondation Blachère for contemporary African art.
