Born in 1989, lives and work in Tangiers, Morocco.

A self-taught artist, it was only after spending a few years in the world of finance that the young artist traded in his suit to devote himself full-time to his passion. Drawing his inspiration from the figurative art of one of his masters, Lucian Freud, Mohamed Said Chair paints portraits in oils that reveal the raw intimacy of his models and his incisive attention to granular detailing.

The artist obsessively probes human nature by using classical academic techniques to interrogate topics such as mass culture and modern alienation.
