Born in 1989. Lives and works in Tangiers (Morocco).
A self-taught artist, it was only after spending a few years in the world of finance that the young artist traded in his suit to devote himself full-time to his passion.
Drawing his inspiration from the figurative art of one of his masters, Lucian Freud, Mohamed Said Chair paints portraits in oils that reveal the raw intimacy of his models. With a particular acuity that hides no detail, the artist obsessively probes human nature through its carnal envelope. Declining drapery, anatomical precision, verdaccio: he uses classical academic techniques to interrogate subjects such as mass culture and modern alienation.
